Slim Chickens is a leader in the fast-growing “Better Chicken” segment. The brand was founded with a mission to bring a dose of Southern hospitality to quick service. It has since established a strong following and reputation based on serving high-quality fresh chicken tenders, wings cooked to order, house dipping sauces made from scratch, and distinctive jar desserts.

The brand was established in 2003 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and today, there are almost 150 Slim Chickens locations open and 650+ restaurants in development across the US and UK. The concept has received many accolades including being named QSR Magazine’s Breakout Brand of 2021, in Fast Casual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers, and one of 40 Smartest Growing Brands for 2022 by Fast & Serious.

Tom Gordon and Greg Smart, Co-Founders

Tom Gordon and Greg Smart founded Slim Chickens in 2003. By 2019, Slim Chickens had grown to 80 locations domestically and internationally. In 2019, Tom and Greg brought on 10 Point Capital as minority partners to help them accelerate growth and build a nationally dominant brand.

Tom and Greg remain active leaders in Slim Chickens as Board members and Chief Executive Officer and Chief Brand Officer respectively.
